REDUCING PAIN & ENHANCING HEALTH

     WITH SPECIALIZED ACUPRESSURE TECHNIQUES

   KOREAN HAND ENERGETICS

Korean Hand Energetics is a form of acupressure that treats the entire body through points only on the hands.  It was developed in 1975 by Dr. Tae Woo Yoo, and represents a combination of modern science and ancient acupuncture theory.  Acupressure points on the hands are treated either with tiny gold and silver “pellets” or with magnets taped onto the appropriate points.   Because there are NO NEEDLES, the treatment is safe enough for the patient to continue at home.  This allows for daily treatments that  greatly enhance the results.

AURICULAR THERAPY

Auricular therapy is a form of acupressure that treats the entire body through points only on the ears.  This form of treatment has its origin in ancient China, but has been modified by the French physician Paul Nogier.  His work has been enhanced by the work of Terry Olsen, Ph.D. through his research at the UCLA Pain Management Center, in Los Angeles, California.   Acupoints on the ear are treated with tiny silver beads that are adhered to the ear with small clear tape.  Because there are NO NEEDLES, these beads can be worn home and usually survive showers and hair washing for 2 to 3 days.

Both of these methods are employed to help restore balance to the electro-magnetic pathways of the body called Meridians.  This allows the body to better heal itself by reducing inflammation, congestion, and pain while improving circulation and nerve supply.  This also increases the body’s production of natural pain killing hormones called Endorphins and Enkaphalins.
